Arabella Jane Interiors was set up in 2018 by Bella Townley. The business has grown from a consultancy to a lovely showroom on the edge of the South Lakes in Cumbria and a team of expert and highly proficient seamsters, fabricators and upholsterers.

Bella explains: “I have always been interested in sewing and making lovely things, right from an early age. I enjoyed a successful career in television in London, whilst at the same time taking evening courses in many areas of crafting, upholstery, sewing, and working a lot with fabrics. I moved to South Cumbria in 2018 with my husband and took the opportunity for a career change and to start a family. After taking up some intensive training, building up my skillsets to complement my passion for interior design, I felt the time was right for my new venture. In May 2018 Arabella Jane Interiors was established. I built the business gradually, starting with a design service, sewing by hand and fabricating Roman blinds, made-to-measure curtains and cushions. I gradually built my brand and team which reflected not just my design passions, but the passions of my customers who enjoyed the process of creating a perfectly balanced visual space for their personal, family or business needs. Even through Covid, building my ranges and suppliers was a busy and exciting process, and I’ve now got a brand that I feel offers a very strong design identity, which also has the flexibility to incorporate my customers’ own aesthetics to create and deliver beautiful things. Opening my showroom in the centre of lovely Milnthorpe was the logical next step in the growth of my brand, and I’m so excited seeing the growth of Arabella Jane Interiors on the next part of its business journey!”
